In 1936, he won his first contest, but it was not until the 1940’s when he started to make himself a reputation in the profession. Numerous works of his own have been translated into more than 10 languages. He has written screenplays for cinema and television and he collaborated with newspapers and magazines. Universities of several countries have named him Doctor Honoris Causa.
