  JOSÉ MARÍA LOPEZ LLEDIN  (1899-1985)

Well-known in the streets of Havana as “the Gentleman of Paris”, mentally disabled, he possessed a seducing Dantesque charm. He was not tall and displayed an unkempt beard and long black cape waving to the wind as he walked. He was never violent or rude; on the contrary, he was a very kind and good-hearted man. He hailed from the Villaseca village in Lugo, Spain.
