Licentiate in Hispanic Language and Literature by the University of Havana,movie director, and writer, he has published articles and criticisms about cinema and teaches Cinematographic Appreciation and Cinema History at the University of Havana and the International Cinema School of San Antonio de los Baños. He received in 1982, the prize “Casa de las Americas” of his genre. His motion picture “Suite Habana” has deserved important prizes.
